Of course I am listening to my own podcast! Mostly because if I don’t even like listening to it, why would anyone else either? Also I think it as kind of a personal journal and podcasts really have become audio blogs nowadays. Media stays the same just in different formats.
I started this podcast as a message to myself. As the title suggests Dear Me, speaking directly to myself. And ending it Sincerely, Me again speaking as myself. Which ya…that’s does sound a bit crazy now that I am writing the explanation.
But I find it really healing to do a form of audio journaling, audio blogging. Sometimes they are more informative based off questions people have asked me to talk about. Sometimes it is the hard truth that I need to hear. Some of my most popular episodes were ones I had written only for me. What I needed to hear a friend say to me in that moment.
I think that is why people resonate with my podcast. It is like a friend trying to help you through a rough moment. And sometimes that friend is me to me. Or me to you if you are listening.
So…
Dear Me,
I am proud of you.
Sincerely,
Me.
