What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

Typically, I drink tea or cuddle up with a good book for comfort. However, that can change depending on the weather and how I feel. There is nothing like a sunrise or sunset on a clear sky. The sky lights up and shows its full beauty to the world. I used to do sun staring which is when you gaze at the rising sun early morning hours before it becomes too bright to look at it directly. Of course you need to be extremely careful when doing this, because you could burn your retinas if you stare at the sun directly.

Other times my comfort is watching videos of pets. And also coffee calms me. You would think it would do the opposite yet I feel calm with coffee. Maybe that is the adhd…either way I like coffee despite coffee not liking me.

Now the best way to calm down quickly is to close your eyes and take some deep breathes. I picture myself at the beach letting the waves crash onto the sand. The wind is blowing gently and the sun is warming my skin. It’s not hot and not cold. It’s just right. One day I’ll live by the sea. Until then I’ll just imagine I do.
